I'm trying to fix my '97 speedometer. It registers as long as my foot is on the gas. I let off and the speedometer drops to zero. I tried to check the manual trans fluid level, but can't pull the speedometer gear as per Chiltons Manual (the engine is in the way when I try to unscrew the gear. Any ideas???
