I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. My car is overheating in 5th gear if I dont have my air duct thing switched to the outside air coming in through the engine. If i turn on my AC it also overheats. I have a newly replaced radiator, new water pump, drained out radiator and filled with water to make sure there were no air pockets and that didnt work. Any suggestions?

1. what air duct thing are you talking about?

2. did you fill the radiator with straight water? you should have mixed in coolant about a 50/50 mixture for the best results.

3. need more information to help

The air duct thingy is the little switch inside to change if the air coming inside the car is air from the outside or through the cooling/heating system. It's generally not safe to drive with that open for too long.

Fill the radiator with 50/50 water coolant. Make sure there's plenty in the resivoir, and make sure it's not leaking anywhere.
