RAZORkid 09-18-2005, 01:43 AM trying to change the rear pads on my 1993 626.but the cailpers will not compress why, please help. you need to tight'n the cable that conects to them, that is if it is the e brake is what you are talking about, if so you can tighten it by tightening the screw in the compartment right next to the brake handle underneth the cover Trigggl 01-30-2006, 10:43 AM I think it's very sad that this hasn't been answered yet. I don't know how different a 93 is from a 95, but on my 95 there is on the back side of the caliper a cap that you have to remove with a socket. Underneath that cap is a place for an allen wrench. It turns real easy so you don't need the exact size, you just need something that will fit in it and turn it, so to speak. With the wrong size allen wrench I was able to retract the piston on both sides in the back when I changed my brakes recently. Remove the cap and retract it with an allen wrench. It's as easy as that. The front uses the standard C-clamp method. Just remember to always remover the cover to the resevoir so you don't blow anything. :2cents: rjitzsu 01-30-2006, 08:02 PM those hex head adjusters have to be adjusted back out after the new pads are installed. they control the e brake...
