There has been lots of smoke that comes out of the exhaust. I was reading all the threads and looks to me that it is the head gaskets. What Im wondering is that why would it be so much for head gaskets. My car leaks oil but im pretty sure its just the gaskets from the valve cover. Are we talking about somethng diff. from what you guys are. My engine has just been rebuild.

WTF kind of response is that? Don't take anyone to court, that won't get you anywhere. I would say talk to whoever rebuilt the motor, and tell them your problem. If it was a shop and there was a warranty on the motor for however many months/miles, they should replace the head gasket for free or very little charge. That is probably you problem, you have a coolant leak there.

Wow, Pimp, you are a real moron. You only have 4 posts so far, and you have already pissed a bunch of people off. I suggest you leave and don't come back, before a mod bans you. And oh ya, if you are going to say "eclipses suck" in your profile, you should probably spell eclipse right retard. :nono: :screwy:

Isnt the gaskets easy to put on or what are you talking about?

I can't really answer if they are easy to put on or not, that is all based on your abilities with engines. From what I know, a HG job is a helluva lot cheaper if you do it yourself, and can cost as much as $700 to have a professional do it. There is a lot of removing parts to actually get to the head gasket. Unless you know what you are doing, take it to a mechanic.

If you have a chiltons or haynes manual they should have outlined how to replace the head gasket, and what parts you need. The gasket itself is only around $80-90. Labor is a bitch.
