Hi,wonder if someone could help me.I have an 323i,1997 with a 18 button obd on board but the check control does not appear to work.My question is if you have the 18 button obd does this automatically give you the check control system or is it an extra.Thanks.

OBD stands for On Board Diagnostic, which is something different. What you're referring to is the OBC, or On Board Computer. Yes it has Check Control. Try pulling the unit out, and unplug the harnesses and plug them back in. Could just be a bad connection.
