Engine dies after startingauto trainy 07-11-2005, 05:37 AM 96 soc starts fine then after 6-7 minutes or temp gauge at 1/2 the engine dies and cannot be restarted for 20 minutes,no codes.when trying to restart there is no ignition,any thoughts thanks das2123 07-11-2005, 09:16 AM Could be a faulty thermostat...Check coolant levels and thermostat. In the following link, http://www.neon-owners.org/neon/tech/manuals/1997/EPL_TAB.PDF Refer to EPL_8W.PDF Page 8W-30-7 The temperature sensor shares a ground with the cam sensor, the crank position sensor and the battery temp sensor. You might unplug the sensor and see what happens just to confirm the fault.
