starting problems

I have a 92 geo tracker I bought off of ebay......my first mistake!
it was running fine until I went to get gas one day and it wouldnt start.
so I put it in the shop and had all the fuel lines, fuel filter, fuel pump, and sending unit replaced. Also replaced wires, and plugs.
Now all I get is a clicking from the relays under the dash.
I replaced relays thinking the clicking was bad.
I found if you unplug the IAC that the clicking stops.
If i leave the IAC unplugged for a couple of days the car starts and run for a little while and then dies.
So in replacing the IAC which cost ten dollars at a junkyard and 238 new that the problem didnt go away.
does anyone have any ideas, because I am running out of money and patience.

do you here the fuel pump come on for three seconds after you turn on the ignition. it sounds like you here the relay turning on. if not i had a problem with my 95 tracker the plate on top of the gas tank where the wires go in had a shorted ground wire. not enough power going to ground sometime car would start sometime it did not start. one i fixed the plate never had a problem again.

i replaced the sending unit, tank, relays, fuel pump, fuel filter, IAC,wires, plugs, oil, oil filter, airfilter, nutral safty switch, new clutch assembly,brakes,ETC....
When you turn on the key I hear the pump, and then they relays start chattering, sometimes it will start sometimes it wont.
Real frustrating can has less the 57,000 miles and just sits there.

can you hot wire the fuel pump and see if the car starts this will kind of eliminate the computer circiutry to the fuel pump.

if you need a computer there was a guy on ebay who rebuild them for 50.00 trackersrus.under truck and car parts under geo under computers.

if the relay chatters it could be loose prongs on the plug. or the ecm

check the electric idle control. jump the two wires and see if it starts.(facing engine, left side of intake)
