Hi
i have a 92 GA V6 3.3 with 200 000km (120 000 miles), i'd like to know if it's normal that my car accelerate slowly when the engine is cold.

thanks

no it isnt.. since the fact when the engine is cold it should run a little more rich which in turn would gain you some power... but as i said in your other topic ... now is the time to starting looking over...

Things like O2 sensor.. MAF senson clean TB clean inspect or replace plugs.. check inspect and or replace replace pcv valve inspect all vaccum hoses.. that sort of thing

Don't forget the fuel injection system. I had mine professionally cleaned at 115,000miles and it brought new life back to the car. I also changed the plugs and wires as doobiess suggests.

ok thanks
and sorry for the time to respond.

how do i clean the MAF and the TB?

and what are the vacuum hoses?

for the plug the plug's wire, they have been changed a couple of month ago.

but for the professionaly clean of the fuel injection, do you mean the kind of thing that big garage like wal -mart offered to something like 50$ ?

thanks

yup the fuel injection cleaning requires a special computer system that will connect inline at the fuel rail that will add solvents to the fuel system that will help burn out the carbon and deposits... which help power... compression and so on... otherwise a good thing to have done.. and yes 50-100$ or so.

As for cleaning the TB or MAF you need to go to your local auto parts store and buy a throttle body cleaner.. and follow instructions.. very simple to do and a good thing to have done..

As for the vaccum lines they are little black rubber hoses that are on the engine.. run from one point to another... they all are just pushed on or pulled off... since you have the 3.3 i can describe exactly where they are .. but they are what goes to different sensors and whatnot.. and in return the sensors know how the engine is running but if one is brittle or broken.. (ie split) then the sensor gets the wrong signal and causes the computer to compensate even though it doesnt need too.. and making your car run bad ... or just worse...

Hope that helps ... good luck
