Should I or not

I have a Corsica that I am currently interested in. It is either a 92 or a 94. The asking price for me is $300 and I know they would be losing money due to all the repairs and new parts they put on. All I'd have to do is put in a new windshield (which is in the back seat) and do brakes. Is this a good deal or not?

Btw: I am a teenager and I need a new car because my current car isn't worth all the repairs that need to be done. This car would be somewhat of a beater, if that matters.

Depends on number of miles on it and type of motor etc. Most likely OK as long as you have enough money onhand to keep it running. Corsicas are generally easy to work on and diagnose but like any old car it costs to keep on the road. We have a 91 with 3.1 motor and 178K miles on it. Bought it new and it still runs good. They are overall a good choice I think. What kind of condition is it in and what work has been done to it so far? If it has no leaks, runs good, looks OK, and has not got a ton of miles on it I would say OK.

Well I got a good look at the car yesterday and I'm not going to buy it. The gas tank has a pretty bad leak in it as well as the car has about 240K miles on it.

At 240K you were smart to walk away from it. Even if it ran OK it would dollar you to death.

Better walk away from it!! 240K,that's on my 93 Corsica 3.1.,the only reason now I still running this car is parts are so easy to found in junkyards. And I brough this car new from GM in 1993 .
