There is already a subject for the new contest in reserve. But I am going to wait a little while due to lack of participation in them. I think every week is a little much. Im think once every two or three weeks would garner more interest.

I was beginning to wonder what happened. Maybe if the deadline or entry limit was 8 days and voting was 5 days?

i sort of understand.

how about a hearse contest? criteria could be decided upon to make it a bit more challenging: like the hearse must be able to sustain roadside bombings and be all-terrain. yet heritage cues of a hearse must be present. it must be able to carry a coffin, or multiple coffins, in the payload area. it must be able to seat comfortably the bereaved family members. have a driver in the front. etc. i've never seen a humvee-type of hearse before, but that is sort of the idea.

pointless? yes. pretty much. but it would enable the imagination free-reign. we could have hearses that are all-terrain and all-enviro. like one for anarctica. some could even have munitions and heavy armor. some could be designed for racing, with downforce taken into account. we could have an aquatic hearse.

the parameters could be that it must be designed to be, within reason, actually functional, must be all-terrain and/ or specific to a certain niche (like tundra or snow only --that would be allowed). or it could be for competition on a GT-style race course or rally stage. and it must be practical. :cool:

of the ideas put forward so far im up for the 4x4 and the commercial vehicle. if the commercial vehicle was like a builders van (ford transit/mercedes sprinter type of thing) then i would deffinately be up for it.

with respect to both of these i would like the contest to specify that it be an entirely new design, or at least a massive redesign of an existing vehicle.

just off the top my head, we could also do a non-car brand name inspired design contest, like a design school recently did. maybe we could modify an existing car for the wrc, sponsors, body kit and all. of course it would have to be a car that isnt already competing in rallying.

i will deffinately competing in the next contest. i've noticed that the number of entrants is quite low, but because of uni work and exams i've not been able to enter myself. this time though :grinyes:

Although I suggested the next contest after the poll closed on the last one, I think I'll leave it up to KustmAce to decide since I may not be around to enter anyway. I'll be vacationing for two weeks starting next Wednesday. :bananasmi
