Caravan engine in neonStealth_SUX_ 07-06-2005, 05:46 PM Hey I had a wild idea, do u think that a dodge caravan v6 engine would fit in a first generation neon. They are selling them for really cheap, there are pictures of the engine too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7984266699&category=33615&sspagename=WDVW Just a wild idea that would be cool, i know technically u can put any engine, but i am saying would this fit easy, like just weld some new motor mounts. It looks like in one of the pictures that it might have the same mount location. illegal_eagle187 07-06-2005, 06:03 PM i dont think it will be very easy. das2123 07-07-2005, 09:10 AM People have actually put a V8 in a neon, but it is alot of custom work. The V6 won't fit easy and would also require alot of rewiring and custom work. Not worth it in my opinion. The biggest engine that will fit without a ton of modifying is the 2.4 engine from the stratus or PT and you can get those cheaper than that Voyager engine. About half the price actually. G-man422 07-07-2005, 11:29 AM It would be too much work putting that engine in a neon. also the engine is tuned for a van , and the gear ratios would most likely be out of whack for a neon. G-man422 07-07-2005, 11:30 AM But it's a cool idea! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
