03 Ecotec chuggle/misfirebrsexton 07-06-2005, 10:56 AM I have a 2003 Olds Alero 2.2 Ecotec auto. It has 40k on it. For the last few months I have notived a slight "bumping feeling" or chuggle/miss in the car while driving at 60+mph and going up an incline. If I am doing 60 and starting to go up an incline, and just slowly press the gas to keep my speed the car has a slight "miss" type feeling. If I press it harder so that the torque converter will unlock, it does fine. I am almost 100% sure this is not transmission related. And it don't always seem to do it. It seems like the AC being on makes it worse. Again, it is VERY light and passengers cant even feel it. But I am picky and I know that it has not always done this. I have replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, and air filter and ran some GM fuel system cleaner in the gas with no help. I have no check engine light, so I assume it is nothing major. I am afraid to take it to the dealer because the SES light is not on, so they may not find anything wrong. I could use the help of a GM tech.
