windshield was fluid grandamdriver52 07-06-2005, 09:57 AM
Hey guys, yea, I have a leak in my windshield washer box and I need to get it out before I fix it or get a new one in it...do any of you know how to get it out?....its a 95 GA 3.1..thanks catback23 07-06-2005, 10:49 AM This is as close as I can find...http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?ForwardPage=/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/09/d2/bd/0900823d8009d2bd.jsp Knifeblade_03 07-06-2005, 10:53 AM yeah, there is a bracket that holds the tank down, usually one bolt in the hardest place to get to. grandamdriver52 07-06-2005, 12:55 PM Ok, it tells me that some cars, you have to take of the fender...Im guessing I have to also cause its inside next to the fender but is it the outside fender or inside fender?....its driving me crazy..haha, I think it might the inside fender but im not sure...some help? Thanks grandamdriver52 07-06-2005, 12:56 PM also could it be the lines from the box? catback23 07-06-2005, 02:23 PM From the repair manual it looks like the inner fender panel. The hose can be the leak but depending on what part of the hose it will leak slowly or not at all until you activate the washer motor which then it'll leak faster. grandamdriver52 07-06-2005, 03:03 PM Ok, cause it leaks really slow and on the ground where the tank is. If I let it sit for a day and a half or 2 it will be almost all gone...until there is like hardly any, and when there is so little of it left, it dont leak, but thats like 1 cup or so of it. skibum1111 07-06-2005, 06:13 PM you have to take off the front splash shield on the drivers side, there are 2 bolts you can reach from underneath, and one on top by the fill neck. take the top one out first, grab the neck and twist and pull it at the same time, it will come out, then take the 2 bottom bolts out and wiggle the tank around a little bit to get it out. Its really fun, I did mine last month and had quite a few choice words for it the whole time. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
