I brought this '99 Grand Am about 2 yrs ago, the dealer said he did a tune-up on it, & I have driven about 14,000 more miles on it, it had about 94,000 miles when I got it. I drive mostly around town to work but now the car is cutting out when I start out at first & at traffic lights when I start out. It acts like it can't get any gas, altho it has never stopped running. Do I need another tune-up or a gas filter. Are these the only problems to look for or are there other more expensive problems. The engine light does not come on. Any one with some answers can e mail me at elc2@surfbest.net. There's a really strong fuel injector cleaner sold at Pep Boys (with nick marks indicating 1 ounce oer tank full of gas). Well add the whole bottle. Finally, change the fuel filter and then see how it runs. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
