Ok, I got this amazing steal! There was a supra posted up on ebay, for 12 grand it finished at, and the guy could not come up with the money to pay for it. The enxt few days, i see it back up on ebay, i call and ask what happened, tells me the story, i said well, ill give you 9500 for it (cuz it needs a new paintjob) So he says ok. Already thinking this is a greater steal, I find out it will cost like 2500 to import it into canada! SO i call and say I can't import it, dont wanna spend 2500 to do that. He says ill knock it down 500 for yah to help yah out with customs. So when it is all said and done, I now have my 1993 Targa N/A toyota supra for around 13 grand canadian!!I am now the happiest 18 year old alive, I just have to sell my team Xenon civic for some upgrade parts now!

I'm glad you were able to get it, just be careful with it. It may be n/a but it still has enough power to lose control in the rain. Congrats on the buy and as long as your happy with the car, that's what matters.

Think about it, i only paid 8 grand for the car, 800 for import fees (turns out Native americans dont pay duty or tax on import fees at the borders due to a treaty made with US and canada) and i painted the rear with the help of my uncle, thats only around 9700 canadian bucks for my Targa! Well if they are only worth 10k U.S, why are they going for around 12- 16 grand US on ebay? And i sold my Honda for 8500 to some dumb kid, so I now have around 11 grand for extras!

Well, with the 8500 i just ordered the 2J engine, and the full swap will be around 4000 at my body shop. Should i get a bodykit or is that too ricey?

wait you just ordered a GTE engine for $8500? isnt that a little to much, or is it gold plated? :) did you get a tranny too? and LSD with that and TT calipers front and back and New ECU with the TT engine and the wire harness and such and all the turbos and stuff?? Where did you get the engine from?

so 9,000 for the supra 8500 for engine 4000 install = $21,500 for that price you could have bought yourself TT that doesnt need a paint job, but then again it woul dprobably take you like half a year to find one at that price

haha no my friends, I bought the GTE eng. for 3200 canadian dollars, plus 400 for the install. Paint job was 1200 because i primed the car myself. Already had manual trans. So 9000 for the car, 3600 for engine installed, 1200 for the paint. 13,800 canadian dollars for my MKIV turbo Supra. I have around 6 grand left, any suggestions?

How compelte is the engine? there is a bunch of little items, hoses, etc. that will be required that are not on the N/A. How many miles are on the car? Friend of mine picked up a 94 N/A targa with 109k miles to use as a parts car last month for 9k USD.

Did you get the tranny as well? the N/A 5spd will not hold up very well even at stock boost levels, same goes for the rear end. I have heard stories that they hold up, but seen the failures. What intercooler did you get? You have to run an intercooler, even at stock boost. Did you get the ECU? Engine Wireing harness? Fuel pump? Injectors?

All are required to run the turbo motor.
