Taking A/C Condensor

I'm replacing both my condensor and radiator. I've gotten out the radiator already, but I have a question about the condensor. I know in order to take out the condensor, I will have to remove the two hoses going into and out of it. Now here is my question, is it ok to release the yellowish ooze, liquid type (freon or so, I would say) into the air? Yes, I will also be using a bucket under it. Releasing the yellowish ooze is the only thing I'm concern about. Oh G20 is a 1995 model year with an auto tranny.
