I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this question...

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone who was suckered into buying a 1999 TL with nav under the guise that there would be no changes to the system has attempted to replace the PC card hard drive with a 5GB PC card hard drive containing the image of the DVD system.

2nd question: Does anyone know if there is anyway to convert the hard drive system to the DVD system?

Did you ever get an answer to this? I bought a used 1999 TL last year and had the dealer upgrade it to ver 2.01. Now they tell me they can't upgrade it anymore.

I tried and it did not work. I got rid of the car a few years ago. Good luck.
