Do I need to bleed brakes?

I guess I did something dumb today, I thought it would be good to put some new brake fluid in my car, so rather than do it the right way, I sucked most of the old fluid out of the master cylinder with a turkey baster, then refilled it. I pretty much emptied the cylinder (as much as a baster would get out). Now do i need to bleed the brakes? Do you think I got air into the system? My neighbor told me it would be fine cause I took the fluid out from the top and refilled it, but I really don't want to be driving down the road and my brakes not work. Please help.

It doesn't do much good to change the fluid if the new fluid isn't going to make it down the lines. Putting in fluid from the top won't get the old stuff out of the brake lines. Bleed the brakes, please.

Question is did you use the correct brake fliud ?

It might of been a good idea to remove all the brake fluid first tho..........
