Question about installing a 2-piece header..Vtec95Civic 06-30-2005, 12:13 AM I recieved a DC 4-2-1 2-piece header about a week ago, waiting to install it soon.. but anyways do I need a gasket for the place where it connects the top and the bottom? It didn't come with one but I didn't know if a gasket would help... seems like I would develop a leak with just metal on metal? superbluecivicsi 06-30-2005, 04:08 AM yes there is a gasket. try your local autoparts store or mr.gasket. should be less than $5. _93civchatch_ 06-30-2005, 11:23 PM yes there is a gasket. try your local autoparts store or mr.gasket. should be less than $5. yeah, anywhere 2 pipes meet there must be a gasket.. otherwise leaking accurs... snowman2005 07-01-2005, 10:57 AM unless dc put these 2 little metal rings type thing then those will crush and become a sealer i belive E Honda 07-01-2005, 12:28 PM unless dc put these 2 little metal rings type thing then those will crush and become a sealer i belive Depends on the flange..........Not all headers require a gasket. Did you need one, or are there the ring 'thingies' that people are talking about? I haven't really had a chance to take it all out and look at it. _93civchatch_ 07-02-2005, 08:36 PM Has anyone installed the DC sports 4-2-1 2-piece headers?
