I recieved a DC 4-2-1 2-piece header about a week ago, waiting to install it soon.. but anyways do I need a gasket for the place where it connects the top and the bottom? It didn't come with one but I didn't know if a gasket would help... seems like I would develop a leak with just metal on metal?

yeah, anywhere 2 pipes meet there must be a gasket.. otherwise leaking accurs...

Depends on the flange..........Not all headers require a gasket. Ford used no gasket on mustangs where the header met the pipes.

Has anyone installed the DC sports 4-2-1 2-piece headers? Did you need one, or are there the ring 'thingies' that people are talking about? I haven't really had a chance to take it all out and look at it.

i think you would have been able to take it out and look... easier than it was to go... turn on your computer, get the internet browser up.. go to this site and reply on your own post :headshake

Considering the header isn't currently where I am.. no, it wasn't easier.
