Heck yeah! I love that American-car hating show.

I really do though, funny as hell. Even when they do rig drag races so vettes lose :thumbsdow

Yeah what was all that about? The guy driving the Vette looked like he kinda stumbled it off the line on purpose.

They ragged on the suspension and 'shotty' build quality, but it still ran a damn respectable time on their track with the Stig driving. Shotty or not, fast is fast.

In a real drag race the vette would have destroyed all those cars and we all know that. The Brits just had to save face. You know what's funny tho...whenever I see auto shows that are american produced they never fictionalize any cars, even when comparing to foreign cars. Me thinks the Brits have some sort of a "car" complex going on.

why don't the brits make computers?

cause they can't find a way to make them leak oil!

ok back to topic should be cool and beats 99% of the other crap on TV

But you fail to see some of the beauty of this show, the disagreements. True Clarkson made fun of it, but we get to see Richard's side of the story too loved it.

If you get to see the show in its entirety as i've been watching it for a while you'll really start to apreciate it. IMO it is the best TV show out there.

Oh I know they have their disagreements. And that Richard liked it even though he thought the suspension was a bit rough. It's a great show with far more imagination than anything out there.

I mean, Apache vs Lotus... I laughed my ass off at that. So cool, especially when the air lifted the Lotus up and spat it almost off the track. That was great.

Yeah that is one thing they don't miss carzy imagination, keeps the show very entretaining. Heck even my roomates who are not gearheads love the show in itself.

Also some people heer complained they hate amrican cars. That is false, sometimes it seems that way because they are not afraid of speaking their minds, but the fact is they love some emarican cars. Clarkson loved the viper to death and he bought a Ford GT, Richard bought a 69 hemi charger and he loved the vette.

I say that is proof enough they do not hate amrican cars.

Sick, SICK, car.

And it's not even the 800-bhp version they're testing.

The short one is Richard Hammond, the older sligthly effeminate one is James May and the tall guy is of course Jerremy Clarkson.

And yes Richard gets picked on all the time by Clarkson, its hilarious. My fav is when they were showing some new Subbie and Clarkson mentions that the back seats are great for school children then goes on and puts Hammond in the back to prove his point. :iceslolan

I caught the last 20 minutes of the show just randomly switching channels. Gawd that Koenigsegg was a beautiful car!

I had no idea that it was being premiering yesterday evening. Glad I caught it too. I have something to look forward to every week now. :)

The Koenigsegg gets the award for being the nicest car with the worst name. If i had the money I would'nt get it just cause I would'nt wanna have to say that ridiculous name every time my buddies asked me was kinda car it was. :grinno:

Sadly I did'nt get to watch the show tonight, I was too sleepy. How many times a week are they gonna show it? Are they starting with a bunch of the old Eps going in order to the newer ones as well?

Watched it last night and I must say that I was disappointed. Looks like we're getting the watered down version of Top Gear. First off they are starting off in season four and in the U.K. they are on season six. That review about the Bowler Wildcat was from season two. Not only that but they don't do any of the cool features like the Star in a reasonably priced car, the news, or the any of their other weird features like finding out who is the fastest faith or how many bikes can a bus jump.

As for you guys complaining about the review of the C6. They do have valid complaints such as the rear suspension being leaf springs. There is no excuse for that.

So what if it has a leaf spring? It still works good.

Handles better than most IRS cars on the road today.

Yeah, but imagine how much better it would be with a proper suspension.

Imagine how much more expensive it would be.
Chevy has to skimp some where to keep it somewhat affordable.

haha polygon i remember seeing that skit. it was hilarious, they jumped a double decker bus off a ramp and it didn't catch any air at all and just crushed the bikes!! also the skit where they had a nun drive a monster truck and run over cars, or if science geniuses can figure out how to do a burn out in a 400whp 300ZX TT.

Hey , what was that site again with all the Top Gear movies on? It has been around here but can't seem to find it.

Love the episode where he goes to test the Ford gt40. First he was cruising with it on the backroads and chattering about it to the camera. Then he suddenly decides to mash the gass and gets blown away in his seat. He immediatly goes of the gass and decides to go to the track wright away. Awesome what they may/can do in that show :)

I just hopped into this forum, but haven't read every post so bare with me if I'm repeating.

For those of you who saw season 4 of Top Gear, how do you think season 5 is comparing thus far? Personally I think that they've had lots of cool clips and creative and entertaining videos, but their car selection is horrible compared to the galaxy of fantastic cars they tested last year (with the exception of the episode with the MC12). I sure liked seeing the Cadilac CTS-V out-run the S4 Quattro on the track. I had no idea it was capable of it! Other than that, I hope they start to get back to those intriguing cars again. How do you top a season where you compared the Enzo and the Carrerra GT to the McLaren F1? Anyways, just curious what you all think of the two seasons compared.

On a departing note, is anyone else out there frustrated that they haven't taken a McLaren F1 around the test track? I want to know if the Enzo really is the new King (it probably is).

Cheers.

PS - I heard a friend of mine say that you could download Top Gear clips at some Torrent site called Mininova.org ... I think.
