probe blind spot?dangstangs 06-28-2005, 09:01 PM well got my first probe a few weeks ago, a 1993se man do i like this car, just bought a 1986 5.0 a few days earlier, the probe will be my everyday driver. so when i talked to a friend about my probe, it was mentioned on how they have a horrible blind spot, which i gotta say it's true, but i've always done this to all my cars. a blind spot mirror on right side of rearview, http://home.comcast.net/~arghman60/onlinestorage/rear_mirror_I.jpg closeup view, it sure beats looking over your shoulder all is needed is a quick glance, http://home.comcast.net/~arghman60/onlinestorage/mirror_II.JPG p.s. you might need a extra piece of 3m double sided pad on some rearview mirrors, and walmart sells the mirrors for .99 each Em-DaY 06-28-2005, 11:59 PM nice thinking.. ill add that too on mine if i can get it running.. lol i found out my fuel pump problem.. but now the battery dosent keep its charge.. i think my alternator is dead :( how much is a used one worth? dangstangs 06-29-2005, 07:00 AM before you invest in a new alternator have them both checked, your autozones and others do it free of charge. could be your battery, a dead cell or just could be time for a new one if it's a few years old or more. and call around for prices, i bought my probe minus a muffer and was quoted $99 up to $199 so i ended up buying a, thrush cherry bomb $25 a chome tip $10 2 clamps $3 a piece of 1/4" metal rod that i used for the hangers $3, total $46 haven't been to a bone yard in years so i can't really comment on prices for alternators. shawnwilliams 06-29-2005, 01:04 PM as for the blind spot, that's the point of shoulder checking, every rookie doesn't shoulder check. Drive a new ford, theres no way that you cant, there A pillars are huge. Just trying to save you an accident and you can drive alot faster in traffic this way. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
