How old are the belts on your car? not sure how old, but they look like they'll last for a while, the belts have a squeaking sound, any help would be appreciated, thanks NA_Vogue 05-20-2006, 04:24 PM When does the belts make noise usually? My mechanic told me that belts can sometimes squeel during a cold start up because the lack of heat causes the belts to harden up slightly making it more prone to slipping. My car had the same problem on startup. NA_Vogue 05-20-2006, 04:26 PM oops my bad, i thought this was a newer thread. please ignore my lack of observation. The Dude 05-25-2006, 07:24 AM try putting some dawn soap detergent on it. just a little bit. And if that dont work try just a little brake fluid hahahaha. curtis73 05-25-2006, 12:51 PM Wow, a thread revived, then apologized... then some one RE-revives it.
