Windshield Washer Doesn't Work rhaltunen 06-28-2005, 01:45 PM
Two years ago, I had the windshield washer pump replaced because the washers were not working. They worked fine after that. Well, during this past winter, they started giving me problems again and would only work once in a while(the guy at the garage said it was a frozen line problem). Now they don't work at all and it's been 80 degrees all summer long. Any idea's out there? Remember, the pump was replaced only two years ago (probably not the problem then either). rhaltunen 06-28-2005, 01:47 PM The car above is a 2000 Grand Prix by the way. kustomkid54 06-28-2005, 02:02 PM The car above is a 2000 Grand Prix by the way. Sounds like the ice did another one in. I'd replace pump. I lived in Michigan all my life. Ans never had a washer line freeze. What are you runing in them? Ripn12s 06-28-2005, 02:14 PM reach up under the pass side bumber and while having someone try the windshield washers see if u can feel the pump kick on. ericvrose 06-28-2005, 04:57 PM It's easier to get to if you take the pass. wheel off and take off the fenderwell cover. It's right there. rhaltunen 09-12-2005, 06:35 PM Sounds like the ice did another one in. I'd replace pump. I lived in Michigan all my life. Ans never had a washer line freeze. I use normal fluid in the summer and anti-freeze fluid in the winter. Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
