Where do i find the distributer spark housing? I have a misfire. Is this easy to fix. Do i have to take it to the shop so it can be fixed?

Debbie, Your 98 Grand Am does not have a distributer. It has a distributerless ignition. Depending on the engine the coils will be either located under the center part of the engine between the two cams or along on the forward part of the engine if it is a V-6. I would change the plugs and wires first before doing anything else. This will cure 95% of all misfires. If that does not work then the ignition module, may be at fault. Try the wires and plugs first and we will go from there. I can be more specific if you can tell me what size your engine is!

I have a 97 and the coil pack sits on the back side of the engine on it. Close to the fire wall. But on the 98 it may be different.
