2001 front hub and bearings

I have a 2001 chevy tahoe that is making bearing noise in the left front wheel. I was told by the dealer that I would have to replace the front hub. I was thinking that I could get someone to remove the hub, take it to a machine shop and get the old one pressed out and replaced with a new bearing. Any suggestions...

GOOD LUCK!
The bearing is sealed and part of the hub..must be replaced as an assembly.
If you find someone to press it out let us know :loser:

What do you think about this item on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&tc=photo&item=7982541030&category=42609

For this price I might as well just buy a new one....

Try gmpartsdiect.com. They are $4.00 more with shipping, but that is using the part number on the web site of the one your looking at. The company your looking at says free shipping, but gaurantee, shipping is already included in the price.Gmparts is a chevrolet dealership and I have used them several times with no problems. And you can be sure its a true OEM part..
