99 aurora has been a great car until recently during this very hot summer the parking and fog lites stay on sometimes flicker on and off, I can hear a clicking sometimes buzzing noise in the upper left instrument panel right near the fog lite switch, I did read thumper455's detailed instructions for cleaning the multifunction switch but the symptions he mentioned were'nt quite the same. ideas anyone

The clicking you are hearing IS coming from the relays inside the LCM (Lamp Control Module) located behind the left side of the ins. panel. Yes the random clicking of the LCM relays can be so rapid that it actually can sound like a buzz noise too. Mine clicked and buzzed and ruined a good battery. You will want to clean the contacts of the multifunction switch ASAP. Check out the link:

dred98 was nice enough to illustrate this cleaning procedure on his site along with many other DIY fixes

My 99 had the same problem, killed a good battery too, did it to the gauge lights too. Took it in and they replaced it for free. I think it was a recall.
