The fuel gauge in my instrument cluster isnt working. I got it back from the dealer today i took it there thinking it was the sending unit. They said it was most likely the guage itself and the whole cluster would need replacing. Would it be worth it to go buy white face guages and have those installed instead. I have a 92 sc and if i did this would it hurt eliminating the oil pressure??

the gauge face is just a cosmetic peice of paper, it in no way affect the function of the gauges. i have known people who punch a new hole for the oil pressure gauge if there is not one there, it doesn't look great, but it works

thats up to you, i don't know if the shop will do gauge faces, but this way you won't need to disassemble the dash twice. you can do it your self it isn't hard at all, adding the face will require a little more work, as the cluster will need disassembled, but now that i think about it it may need disassembled anyway for the odometer. however if you do it yourself you won't have any warrenty/gairentee for the repair.
