I'm looking at cleaning up my brakes now that I've just put on new wheels. I need informaiton on the following.

1) I have drum brakes on the rear of my car. Would I still need to use the high heat ceramic paint that I would use on my calipers?

2) can you powder coat calipers? or would it effect their operation?

3) Would it be wise to paint brake components white? Would brake dust build up fast and be counter to improving the look of my car?

any insight would be appreciated. watch those unsightly opinions.

1) yes, drums generate just as much or more heat than discs because you are applying the paint to the backside of the friction surface.

2. Yes you can, since calipers do not actually come in contact with anything, they just hold and push the pad.

3) white brakes would look very dingy very fast
