What's up all? I had a weird situation happen to me about 2 wks ago. I'll try to be brief:
My car was running for about 10 mins.
Pulled off on way to Airport.
Turned on Defogger and heard a weird noise.
kept driving for about 1/2 mile.
Got to red light and saw smoke and smelled antifreeze.
Turned the car around and parked it.
Opened hood and saw antifreeze dripping off manifold.
There was also a blotch of wetness on the hood.
The antifreeze sprayed out of somewhere when I turned on the defogger. Secondly, there was a hissing sound coming from what i think
is the AC Compressor. i put my hand near it and i could feel cool air spraying up from a hole on the right side of this "Compressor". It stopped after about 30 seconds. I left the car their for a week as i was on my way to Vegas. i came back, checked the radiator and the level was fine. The reservoir looked dry though. i have added fluid two or 3 times, but it always looks dry but w/ no evidence of leakage. I was trying to find a 99 galant so i can see if something is missing from under my hood. i haven't found one yet. has anything like this ever happened to anyone. Any advice?

you need to pressure test your cooling system as it runs under pressure to highten the boiling point. if its something to do with yor air con its a specialists job im afraid
