A couple vids on a turbo charged TA triplerc 06-24-2005, 02:02 PM
Here I found a couple vids of STS turbo charging kit on a 01 trans am pretty sweet http://i.b5z.net/i/u/1473169/f/Video/transam_burnout.wmv http://i.b5z.net/i/u/1473169/f/Video/transam_freeway.wmv You can check their site out pretty sweet i just dont like the turbo by the gas tank... heres the siteClick here (http://www.ststurbo.com/home) LT1MAN 06-24-2005, 02:24 PM didn't seem all that fast to me, hard to tell on video tho. sounds bad ass however. FireFox05 06-24-2005, 02:40 PM I like the STS kits. The people who object always talk abut the heat being to low back there, or the tubing being to long, or the gas tank being so close. If they would read the website, all of those issues are moot. Now you can still not like it being close to the tank, no big deal. But they show that these things aren't truly an issue. I would go STS if I went turbo, but I think you should get new cats when you put them on, thats the only true issue I think is the cats coming apart. I-ROC KID 06-24-2005, 04:18 PM u can just just hear those things suck in the air like crazy nfg2184 06-24-2005, 05:38 PM *looks down* I think I'm hard. 88camaroproject 06-24-2005, 05:43 PM .......or the gas tank being so close. If they would read the website, all of those issues are moot. Now you can still not like it being close to the tank, no big deal. But they show that these things aren't truly an issue. ....... if someones worried about the gas tank being so close to something hot.....your mufflers right there so its not much different, and i bet theres lots of air to cool things down under there, but what i would wonder about is water, can water get in the intake? since its so close to the ground???? 88camaroproject 06-24-2005, 05:53 PM nevermind about the water thing i just watched the vids on the website af the truck plowing through water with a turbo bag91 06-24-2005, 06:41 PM For show 88, even stock intakes get water in them..... Those T/A's are already pretty fast, but a turbo.....that be frekin awesome!!!! FireFox05 06-24-2005, 07:14 PM Agreed. Read the FAQ on the STS website, I can assure you to 99% that all of your questions will be answered. turbo ES 06-26-2005, 12:37 AM you could eliminate the need for an intercooler since the pipe has to go so far?couldnt you as long as you kept the boost fairly low that is 8psi or so. i might have read that somwhere but i dont remember FireFox05 06-27-2005, 09:30 PM Low boost = low temps, or at least lower. The longer tubes act like an intercooler, lowering your temps some. philly rs 06-28-2005, 05:49 PM that ta video gave me turbo wood!! :boink: Related Links Enter the largest automotive community on the planet! |
