exhaust pipe problemekmarsal 06-22-2005, 12:58 PM Hi. I have a problem with the exhaust pipe on my JGC '94 (V8 5.2). It came off the last clamp. I went to the pep boys and auto zone and all they had was just a regular u-shaped clamp. I don't that'll work because after inspecting the pipe I see that there's a rubbery looking atachment right above the pipe bolted into the floor and it doesn't look like it would work with those clamps that I found at these stores. If anybody knows what is this, a clamp or a hanger, how it looks or better where I can buy it, I'd really appreciate your reply. dell520 06-23-2005, 02:07 AM im not too sure but i was looking at mine the other day for a rattleing nose ive been hearing and on the last hanger there is a u type shaped clamp that surrounds the rubber peice hanging from the chassis. im also looking at my haynes manual and it showes a u clamp thing also. you might try and look closer for any other places around the rubber peice to see if the u clamp will fit around it. hope this helps, but like i said im not too sure about it. dksob81 06-23-2005, 09:07 AM there should be a hanger (a hook type) welded onto the tailpipe in which slides into the rubber hanger that is bolted onto the jeep. Sounds like yours might have broke off, you could use an exhaust clamp and weld it onto the tailpipe and slide into the rubber hanger. ekmarsal 06-23-2005, 12:18 PM Thank you guys for your input, it helped. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
