Need pictures of connections and routingsslappified 06-21-2005, 08:04 AM I just bought a 99 Taurus with the vulcan engine. After looking through the engine bay, I noticed various connections missing and couldn't find them in the service manual. Would someone take a picture or two of the following areas? 1. Connection to the power steering auxiliary actuator. And also describe where the connection comes from (wiring loom). I may have to splice in another plug. 2. coolant overflow piping. Both the rubber hoses are still on the engine. If I just get a new pipe could I stick that in under the upper intake would I be ok. Does it have to be a metal pipe? I'm guessing yes due to possible hot surfaces through there. 3. Egr vacuum connection. In the book it shows a hose coming from the top of the EGR valve. Mine just has a plug on top. Could you also tell me where the vacuum hose connects. 4. On the back of the upper intake, between the EGR valve and the EGR vacuum solanoid there are two vacuum hoses coming out of the intake. I need to know where the one closest to the EGR valve connects or routes to. Thank you for your help. busa4 06-21-2005, 02:50 PM wtf is a power steering auxiliary actuator? i have a 1999 with the dohc motor. what motor is in yours: ohv, dohc, sho? slappified 06-21-2005, 03:33 PM It has a ohv engine. The actuator is above the power steering pressure sensor on the steering gear. The highest electrical connection on the steering gear. busa4 06-21-2005, 03:43 PM the steering gear connector should be the same but i have the dohc motor. i will check the steering gear connection tonight. what do u need to know? what the connector looks like and where it comes from? slappified 06-22-2005, 08:16 AM I'd like to know where it comes from. If you can tell me which loom or another sensor that its near, maybe I can find either the plug (not likely) or the cut wires. slappified 06-29-2005, 11:17 AM Anyone? Willyum 06-29-2005, 12:16 PM Hey slappy, why don't you ask someone on the street or parking lot if you can look under their Taurus hood? It works! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
