before and after i replaced the door speakers in the front and rear, the frent passenger side door speaker and tweater are not operating at the same level as the rest. even when you put sound to just those 2 it isnt very loud at all. all of the others sound fine. any ideas on this?

i drive 1997 jgc loredo 4.0L

You've put 4 ohm speakers in it. Your amp and factory speakers are 2 ohm. You'll need to:

1) change the other speakers to 4 ohm and deal with the reduced output.

2) change the other speakers and change the amp to get your volume back

3) purchase 2 ohm speakers and replace the new ones with them.

well, actually the problem was there before i changed any speakers at all, so when i did change all the speakers except the tweeters the problem was still there. so with the new speakers in, the volume is still way to low in the front door passenger side and passenger side tweeter.
i get what your saying about the ohm's, but it was doing this with the factory setup before i changed them. any other ideas? im stumped, matbe there are fuses that need to be changed or something i dont know.

Were the old ones factory, or were they also 4 ohm? You can check for cuts and shorts in the wiring, swap the tweeters, front and rear speakers to see if the issue follows the speakers. If none of that shows a problem, you may have a bad head unit or amp.

i believe they were the stock speakers because they said infinity on the back, but it didnt say what ohm they were. ill be picking up a chiltons manual today so hopefully that will help me with any wireing that i may need to do. thanx for the help.
