I'm looking at buying a Mk1 wagon/panel van, but would like a nice motor for it - what options are available to me. I'd like to stick to motors that the Escort was released with, as its quite hard to find with an origonal motor at this age

What motor were they using for rally? They sound pretty good and they are certainly not slow!
