99 Taurus Low Coolant Lights9marti7 06-17-2005, 10:28 AM My low coolant light is on for my Taurus although it is filled to the top. I called the dealership and they said that it may cost about $200 to repair because the would have to replace the pan. Is there anyway I can do this myself? I would like to fix this myself and save me money, but I do not know much about fixing cars and would need some instructions. Thanks, sfontain 06-17-2005, 11:04 AM I assume by pan you mean the overflow (degas) tank. Yeah it can be done although I actually think the tank itself is fairly pricey. The point is you can't just replace the sensor; the whole tank has to be replaced. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
