My 2002 3.2TL Type S makes a very brief vibration type noise (lasts about a second) within a few moments of starting out in drive or reverse from a cold start. The noise is like a cell phone on vibrate mode!

Once the car is warmed up, no noise if you start and go....can't figure out what this could be. Any ideas?

i asked dealer about that, he said it's common. the sound is coming from the lines that feed brake fluid.

It is the ABS maodulator building up pressure

never thought about the brake fluid pressure but makes sense. is the vibration something I should learn to live with or do I need a new maodulator? Or maybe am I missing a clamp that holds the lines from vibrating? I love this car but the noise bugs me....

Nope. It is a normal operation. There is no fix, as there is nothing wrong. :) it only does it for about 5 seconds or less right?

yup, 2 seconds or less each time, usually twice. Cold start, start driving, a 2 second vibration, then 5 seconds later another 2 second vibration, and that's it......
