Has anyone had any dealings with those so called security chips that they install on the steering column. And do you recomend taking them out. Someone told me they cut the factory wires to install, and could possibly cause alot of problems. Any and all posts are welcome. Thanks!

Yes it is the one near the key. Being female, I have finally found a mechanic I trust. He did recomend me to take it out so I did. I was having a problem with the instrument panel doing weird things. He said those things can cause several problems because they cut the factory wires installing them.
