I'm about to purchase my first BMW and want to make sure I focus on the right year.

Can anyone tell me where I can research when the body styles changed
on the 3 series between 1998 and 2003?

Trying to find out which year models have had the body style out for
at least 2-3 years giving the manufacturer a couple years to work out
the kinks before the newer body style came out.

Based on everything I've been hearing, I'm definitely going to
purchase a 325i or 325Ci.
