Brake Light nightmare - HELP!

I have a 2002 LT. The brake lights (all, both sides and the LED's at the top) have been out for at least a week, although we are not sure how long they were out before then. The fuses under the hood and at the drivers side door area were checked and fine so we ordered a new brake light switch. That came in and was installed and still no brake lights.

I am ASSuming it is NOT the multifunction switch - hazards work, and the upper LED's apparently normally work when it's just the multifunction switch. Back up lights work.

Current is flowing fine to the front fuses but at the trailer electrical plug in there is NOT a current showing when the brake is applied. A current is shown for all other lights.

Something that may/may not be connected - I was in a bad wreck in February. Got the car back (finally) in May. The passenger side was hit. We are almost positive that the brake lights worked when I was leaving the shop - my SO was behind me and thinks he would have noticed if they were not working. We found out just before we found out the brake lights were out that the rear headphone plug in isn't working. We ASSumed at that time that since the dash was replaced they simply had not connected a wire, but now I'm wondering if perhaps the two are related.

Any ideas on what we should check next? Thanks VERY much.
