Service message & dash dropping outbrocksdeene 06-15-2005, 10:24 AM How do I reset the service command on the centre console? Having worked on Race cars all my working life, I really do not want to pay for the privalidge of some one doing it for me. Also, has anyone suffered from the dash dropping out completely whilst driving (luckily my GPS works and stops me from speeding tickets). The car still runs, but if you touch an interior light it gets the dash up again. Happened all the way to the Alps this season, has only done it occasionaly the last few months ramairgto72 06-16-2005, 12:55 AM How do I reset the service command on the centre console? You have a short somplace, yea I know it's a no brainer on that, but thats whats going on. I bet you have those sweet glass headlights on your jeep, with the H4 bulbs, American Jeeps have a plastic headlight and a 9006 bulb, because everyone else in the world has better headlight laws they use the non fadeing glass with a H4 bulb. If you find a set sell them on Ebay and you will rake in the money. brocksdeene 06-16-2005, 02:02 PM Is there a sequence to gettin the miles to service message reset? As for lights, YEAH ive got good H4 ones with glass lens & 100W mains in zenon. Not quite legal, but effective. ramairgto72 06-17-2005, 02:55 PM Is there a sequence to gettin the miles to service message reset? You have to push in and hold the service button and hold it till it flashes or asks "reset miles?" then use the other button (the button thats below or above it) to move your selection, and using the orignal button as a "enter" key. Let me know if this helps. I plan on changeing to the glass and H4 bulbs, I have heard they are 100% better. Do you have a pic of your jeep? brocksdeene 06-18-2005, 04:34 AM Thanks I will try that. No piccy yet, but will post one asap. Trust me the Glass and H4 combo is heaps better. brocksdeene 06-18-2005, 04:41 AM You have to push in and hold the service button and hold it till it flashes or asks "reset miles?" then use the other button (the button thats below or above it) to move your selection, and using the orignal button as a "enter" key.
