rims and tires for my '95 neon???maykelcj 06-14-2005, 08:30 PM Anyone knows what are the limits in with and size on a first generation neon? max off set???? I would really like some sick thik tires on a 15 to 17 rims.. :naughty: (very performance oriented no preaty crap please) :disappoin das2123 06-14-2005, 10:19 PM You want to keep the offset between 35 to 40 mm range. You can go to a 42, but I would not recommend it because it means that you are making the track of the car narrower by moving the tires further inboard. Try and look for a 17" rim w/a 38 mm offset and put some 205/40-17's on it. That should keep your speedometer close to stock. This would be for looks, but I just noticed that you said strictly performance. In that case, I would recommend a 15" rim w/a 35-38mm offset and some 205-50-15 tires. Great for performance and if you can find them, get some Falken Azenis. Great for dry weather, not so good in wet though. http://www.discounttiredirect.com/product/tires/falhza.ang.jpg maykelcj 06-15-2005, 04:10 AM You want to keep the offset between 35 to 40 mm range. I might need all weathet tires because here in florida rains a lot in the summer. do the 15 inch rims will make the speedometer too off? I think they will be nice for performance (as I said not intrested in looks). :grinyes: das2123 06-15-2005, 08:49 AM The 15" rims and tires won't make your speedometer off by much. Maybe 1MPH difference. If your speedometer shows 65, then you would probabaly be going 66. So not bad at all. Now you couls go with 215/50/15 tire, and be real close to stock and get the Dunlop SP Sport 5000 tires for all around performance in wet and dry conditions. See pic http://www.discounttiredirect.com/product/tires/dunhzb.ang.jpg By the way, both pictures and tires are available from Discount Tire Direct. (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do) maykelcj 06-15-2005, 04:01 PM Thanks :) das2123 06-15-2005, 04:39 PM Thanks :)If you use Discount's website, search by size not by your car. They don't know half of what will or won't fit. For example, if you search by car, the 215/50/15 tire doesn't show up as a match, but plenty of neons are running them. I hope to be soon  Texas_Juvy 06-30-2005, 01:44 AM Im selling some rims...asking 300 OBO with tires included. American Racing 15" Avenger series...They look good,AND they deliver excellent performance. I am currently running them on my 02' neon. I have a thread on automotive forums if you are interested. Im selling em pretty cheap cuz i just bought some SRT-4 rims. so just make an offer maykelcj 07-02-2005, 06:38 PM sorry I got only 4 lugs. das2123 07-03-2005, 06:28 PM sorry I got only 4 lugs. You could upgrade to a five lug.
