I have a very simple question. I need to know if i can install a new cd player in my car. I have the original in the car. I was told that if they make a kit for it that i can. Is there any precautions that i need to take with the security system on it or anything?

Just wondering....what is wrong with the factory deck??

Worked fine for me. All I did was add subs. Of course, those are gone now.

I think if you swap out the deck, you need to swap out damn near everything audio related in the car. The wiring is weird. I had to use a linelevel converter to get a y-cable for my amp. Tap into an odd switch to get the remote turn-on. It was fun.

There is nothing really wrong with it I just like my other cd player. i already put new subs in. It sometimes doesnt want to spit out the cds and it also gets stuck sometimes you put a cd in and it wont go to cd it stays on radio and when you push the cd button it wont go to cd.

You'll have to take off the front dash around the CD player (it also goes around the HVAC controls)using a screw driver, then undo 2 bolts that hold the stock deck in place.

Using an aftermarket CD player installation kit (that you need to purchase for no more than $25 i beleive), you would install the new deck.

Put the 2 bolts back and pop the dash into place.

Done!

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that you'll need a harness adaptor as well as a radio adapter to the aftermarket from stock radio.
That will run you another $20-25.

Yeah your not going to have to worry about any problems with. You will probably need a spacer and the wiring harness of course. Now if you do have the setero controlls on your sterero those will not work. However they make a Steering Wheel Audio Control Interface that will allow you to control your aftermarket cd player. They have them for about 57 buck at pfyc.com here is the link
