I have just recently been having promlems with my 1999 Grand-AM. At first when the problem started it died on me at a traffic light. Then it started dieing on me when i was driving down the highway. Well this last time it died it set for 15 minutes and doesnt start. I have been talking to many differnet people and have changed many different things... For one it had no spark and it had fuel but lately there is no fuel showing up in the line but i have fuel in the tank. when the car starts to die it is just like it is shutting down... the airbag light flashes the radio and clock shuts offand now that it doesnt start the gas gauge isnt reading the feul in the tank. THE THINGS THAT I HAVE CHANGED IN THE CAR ARE: new ignition module, 3 new coil packs, new crankshaft or cam sensor.........It sounds like it is electrical that is why i have changed the parts that i did but none of them worked... and everyone that i talked to are out of ideas......PLEASE HELP

This idea has been thrown around alot here lately, so here it is: Try unplugging the air bag module under the driver's seat. If it has gotten wet it might be sending a bad signal to the ecm telling it to shut off the fuel pump. If that works, get the air bag module fixed asap.

It doesnt look like the fuel pump is gettin power cause we put a tester to the wires and there was nothing, and it isnt getting spark... so we thought it was the passlock2 system and we did the reseting thing but that didnt help either... WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW???

I know this is an old thread, but I just bought a 99 GA SE, got a good deal on it because it was having a similar problem. I was wondering if you ever got it fixed, the guy we bought it from put a lot of money into it trying to fix this. I've heard passlock system mentioned quite a bit with this type of issue, and our first thought was the ground wire on top of the fuel tank (assuming these newer models have that, we're used to older cars). Thanks for any help!!
