Has Anyone tried them?

If so, did you notice any increase in mileage, power or quicker starts like they promise on TV?

I'm changing my plugs soon and am wondering if they are worth the extra $$.

I've never tried them. But I just want to give you some advice - nothing beats stock. I never believed this, and tried a set of NGK Iridium's which had been hyped beyond all belief in the GA community, and they sucked - cause multiple fisfires because they ran too cold. Same can be true of plugs that run hotter then stockers. Stockers are really honestly the best plugs designed for the engine. They run the exact temperature they need to per air density in each cylinder. The only time you would need to change plug temp (colder, for example) - would be something like running boost. I'm assuming the spitfires run hotter then stockers. In theory, they would burn more gas, causing a slight increase in mileage, but other then maybe a 1/2 a MPG increase, you won't feel any added power, that's for sure. Plugs and ignition won't change power unless you've got something a lot more substantial then a near stock N/A engine.

I know that they burn the same temp. as a stock plug (provided that you buy the ones for the spec. heat range) so that isn't a problem. I just don't believe the hype.

I'm thinking it is pretty much the same as those V-Groove plugs. I know a guy who drag races and he tried the V-Groove. On the dyno he said it made 5 more HP. When you are making 2000HP already with your fav. Champion plugs with your blown and injected small block chevy and have to change plugs every round, the extra cost just doesn't add up.

I'll just keep on buying ac delco...unless someone has a good story to share

I put them in my GTP and noticed absolutely no difference when I drove 40 miles to work. All I know is they messed with the radio reception. When I gave it gas you can really hear the static. Took em out a week after they were installed and went back to te stock plugs. Had them in an 84 Camaro Z28 and they did the same thing with the radio.
