I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4 Liter and it came with a 5 speed transmission. I love this car to death. I have recently been looking for mods for my car and found out its really hard to find mods for the 2.4l engine. If anyone knows of any good mods for my engine it would be greatly appreciated. Also if you'de like to see some pics let me knw or if you also have a 5 spd i wanna know!!! Im really looking for an exhaust system like the GT comes with but cant find it for a 2.4l :(

- by the way, I found out (the hard way) that we're not suppose to post links to other grand am forums on here (conflict of interests). I posted the same one all over the place and didn't even think twice about it until the mod raised the flag - understandbly though.

What did they get average for HP and torque gains? Worth the $2200?

Woops, then again I don't own a GA anymore, so sue me for trying to help others.

LoL I don't care if you post that stuff, Murphy. I just thought I'd warn you before a mod said something. I couldn't personally care less. :)

GM says the charger will make your 2.4 crank out 190hp at i tinny 4psi, you can easily upgrade to a smaller pulley for more boost and make more power, most go with a pulley that makes 8psi.

I have a ? re putting a supercharger on a 2.4. Taking it from the viewpoint that [per this thread] it is essentially an after-assembly add-on, weren't the 2.4's that were built for the supercharger modified at factory to handle the extra boost over the normal injected 2.4"s. I not sure, but I seem to recall that the factory super.chg'd. engines were "beefed" up in some manner to handle the supercharger?

there was NEVER a car that had a superchaged 2.4L, come from the factory that way, this is ONLY an aftermarket option. This kit is built to on a stock 2.4L, there was never a "beefed up version".
