2000 Horn Problem

Okay...so we got this sweet 2000 Grand Am but we're having a little problem that is making us crazy.

About 50% of the time when turning, the horn sounds. Generally it is just a little toot, but occasionally it's a good and loud one. My wife is so embarrassed by it she doesn't like to drive it anymore. And considering we have to make payments whether she drives it or not, we'd like to try to fix the problem

I'm not savvy enough to find the horn by myself under the hood and couldn't figure out which fuse would help me out. Is there anyone who can shed some light on this problem?

Welcome to the forum. This is actually a problem within the steering collumn. I'll try to find exactly where I read about how to fix it - the issue was that the wire that connects the horn button (in steering wheel) to the relay and to the horn ends up getting pinched by something in the steering collumn sometimes when turning, completing the circuit and sounding the horn. I'll try to find more info.
