Getting ready to install some subs, but I cannot seem to find a nice place to run my power wire, remote wire, and rca's.

Any suggestions/pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

in my towncar, i just ran it along the carpet, wedged in, u wont be able to see it, and when u get to doors, take off the step molding (plastic piece or w/e it is) and run it under that then screw it back on (i think it has screws), i have a ps2 in the center console, but try to avoid running entirely under the carpet cause its a B---- to seperate from the foam underneath

I agree, run them under the step moldings. ALSO, do not run the power and the RCA wires together. The power wire could possibly interfere with the rca wires causing whine. Run them down opposite sides of the vehicle.

Any good spots to run the power wire into the cabin from the engine bay (battery)???? I'd hate to have to drill my own hole and install my own grommet. I am kind of lazy. Pictures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,
Ryan

i didnt feel like hassling with it so i ran it along the door and underneath the seal on the top part of the tahoe where the hood and sortof the front windshield meet because the firewall was so far down in the engine and hard to access

That's usually a recipe for disaster. I always try to run it inside the OEM gromet where the main harness is. If your vehicle is within about 8 years old, you should be able to do that. If not, I'll drill a hole then run the wire through the hole and put wire loom around the hole. Then, I use window calking to seal it. Not silicone but the gooey stuff that never really dries. Some people call it dum dum

Running the wire through the door is a fire/ shortage waiting to happen. There is a place on the left side of the tahoe for the wire topass through the engine compartment to the inside. I have a 2-gauge wire going through it! Remember, what ever side you runn the power wire on, the rca cables need to go on the opposite side!

i know where the grommet is, but i found it was too hard to try to get it through there, esp trying to access it through the engine bay size, because all the "pieces" from the engine are in the way, any recommendations?

TTT.

I tried looking for the passthrough on the drivers side, but had no luck finding it. Anyone have any more specific information on where exactly to look for the grommet???

Any pictures would be greatly appreciated.

I ran my power wire through the firewall just to the right of a power harness. If you climb under the dash and look, there will be a circular cut out already there backed with foam. Pull that off and there will be a "safe" area for you to drill a hole into the firewall. You will be clear of any obstructions(brake booster, etc) to drill and run your wire. Hope this helps.

I Just Ran My Wiring Under The Frame. Drilled A Hole Under The Back Seat And Popped Right Under The Engine

I ran mine through the firewall at the steering column grommet, then straight under the carpet.
