Antifreeze leaking, found hole in radiator and replaced it. The leak stopped for awhile and then began noticing puddles in drive. It is getting worse. I've been told water pump maybe going bad. How can I determine this?? Any other suggestions before I begin replacing parts.
Think something isn't tightened properly???

A few simple ways to find out if your water pump is bad: check the hole at the bottom of the pump and look for signs that coolant has been leaking from it. If it has you'll notice a rusty type look there where water/coolant has been leaking. If it has, then the bearing is out or going out in pump. You can also take a long enough pipe or stick long enough to reach from the top of pump to your ear to check for noise. If it sounds pretty rough and not smooth you have a bad pump. That's just a few quick and simple ways to check your water pump.

By the way I would be sure to check all coolant hoses closely for any possible holes/leaks.
