I currently own a bravada. It has been a good rig and ok to work on, but the time has come to find something new, she has 185,000 and is in need of several things I don't want to do. What are some of the things I should look for when looking at the 4.0L jeeps? I know my way around a bit so you can lay it on me!! My goal with cars is to get something easy to work on and do everything myself, I think the jeep will be that truck for me. Thanks for your help any responses will be appreciated.

I would say the jeep is easier to work on than a bravada. Check out electrical stuff like power windows and speakers to make sure they work. It is common to have broken wires where they go to the drivers side door hinges. They are built pretty tuff. If you like doing your own maintenance, you will like the jeep cherokee 4.0. It is one of the last vehicles with 'old school' engineering in it.
