STI price in Japankeita 06-05-2005, 05:15 PM Well folks, I was in Japan for a week or so last month, and if you've ever been there before, you'd notice that used cars are dirt cheap over there, I mean DIRT CHEAP. People drive their cars a few thoudand miles per year, and they just dish them off to get something new, so the used car market is amazing from the buyer's standpoint. However, I saw this pre-owned blue STI in the storefront, and I mean this is not the latest model STI, it's the PRE-2002 Impreza, I forget what the model number (GC something) was, but you know what I mean. And guess how much it was going for....$33,000....Whoa. I'm sure that thing probably has less than 20,000 miles on it, being that it's a used car in Japan, but what a heck is up with that price?? I'd guess that you can probably buy a new one for that much money. I wonder if there is a premium attached to that particular model STI... SteveK2003 06-05-2005, 09:19 PM Might it have been one of the limited edition models, like the current WR-1 or whatever? keita 06-06-2005, 12:10 AM Might it have been one of the limited edition models, like the current WR-1 or whatever? I suppose that's possible. I didn't see it that up close, but I just couldn't belive the price--but it was real. fierojapan 06-16-2005, 06:48 AM are you sure you remember the price corectly. i am in japan right now and i know those price tags can be confusing... keita 06-16-2005, 02:05 PM Dude....I'm Japanese.
